I love wearing different hats and running in different directions. It’s the way I’m wired. I need new challenges. I need different challenges. But sometimes it feels like I have two-and-a-half jobs. And between the pastoring, writing, and speaking it’s easy to get over-extended.

So this week I met with our stewardship team and we reduced the number of speaking days in 2009 from thirty to twenty-five. And I’m hoping to land closer to twenty. I absolutely love speaking to leaders. And I believe it’s a calling that I need to steward. But I feel like I’ll be more passionate and more effective if I speak a few less times.
