This is a random post, but I had a little flashback when I read about Adrian Peterson, Vikings running back, getting pulled over by Minnesota state troopers for going 109 mph in a 55 zone. Might lose his license.
The closest I’ve ever come to going to jail happened when I was pulled over by a Minnesota State Trooper on I-94 between Minneapolis and Alexandria, MN. I’m not making excuses. But it was late at night. There were hardly any cars on the road. I had a rental vehicle. And I had no idea how fast I was going. My car shakes once I hit 60 mph so I’m not used to a smooth ride at those kind of speeds. Long story short, he was pretty upset at me. He clocked me in the 90′s. Told me that if I had been going over 100 mph he would have taken me to jail. And by the tone of his voice and look on his face, I think he wished I had been going over 100 mph. He meant business. And he should have. I broke the law.
There you have it. The closest I’ve ever come to going to jail. I feel better now.
