You can’t plan Pentecost.
It’s not like Peter got up and strategized tongues of fire. Peter didn’t even have a cognitive category in his reticular activating system for what was about to happen. He didn’t pray for the ability to speak in other languages spontaneously and miraculously. And they certainly weren’t warming up the baptismal tank.
You can’t plan Pentecost, but if you pray for ten days in an upper room like your life depends on it, Pentecost might just happen. I’ve believing that for National Community Church. On May 13 we’ll begin a ten-day Pentecost Fast. I’d love to invite others to join us. What do you have to lose? I can’t think of a better way to end our Miracles series and I’m believing God to do some unprecedented miracles in our midst. He is going to show up in a miraculous way!
