I’m a huge fan of Global Outreach for a numbers of reasons.
First, through a miraculous confluence of events, National Community Church helped fund an orphanage that they opened in the Congo. Then we sent a team to help build it and another team to dedicate it. We’ve got a third trip planned for 2013 so we’re shareholders in what God is doing through GO.
Second, I love the people who are leading it. The President, Renee Reed, attended NCC while she lived in DC. I actually share the story of how we met in Soulprint. It was a divine appointment. The best mission work is relational.
I’m thrilled to personally endorse Global Outreach. They are passionate about mitigating spiritual, mental, emotional and spiritual suffering in parts of the world still plagued by instability, conflict and poverty. They are restoring hope to the hopeless.
As you think about year-end giving, consider sponsoring an orphan thru GO.Dec 12, 2012 | Mark Batterson
