Just got an an email from Jason Condon from Artisan Church in Rochester, NY. He did a message on “chasing lions” and had a totally cool prayer application at the end. I think one of our central tasks as leaders is to keep what is sacred from becoming routine. You’ve got to find ways to change it up and keep it fresh.
They challenged people not to cower in fear but run to the roar. They challenged people not to stay comfortable but to plunge into the snow. So they brought in buckets of snow; had people plunge their hands into the snow; and pray about the lions in their life until they were uncomfortable. And then pray a little longer.
Guarantee people won’t forget that prayer experience! Just thought that idea was so creative and so cool. Love the way people are taking the book, In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day, and the series, www.chasethelion.com, and making it their own!
