Our new class of proteges arrived today.  So humbled by the fact that such amazing people would make the move to DC to work with NCC for the next year.  Each protege is assigned to a department at NCC–like media or worship or discipleship.  They are given a portfolio and there is also a mentorship component.

They definitely make sacrifices, like no salary for example. But I’ve found that God honors those steps of faith and makes up the difference.  Going to be a great adventure over the next year.

For what it’s worth, most of our hires happen internally at NCC and many of our current staff members were former proteges.  It’s like a minor league farm system.
