Tough to put today into perspective. So much joy to see with my own eyes what God has done at Beza International Church. Love the spirit of the church which is a reflection of the spirit of the leadership!
My last visit to Ethiopia was three years ago and Beza was just getting started. In fact, we prayed in the space where we had services before it was done being built. I remember praying for God’s anointing. Those prayers have been answered big time.
I preached three services, which I do at NCC as well, but it was an all day affair. Started at 9 AM with a service in Amharic. And then I did two English services that ended around 4:30 PM. I’m absolutely exhausted and absolutely energized. It’s challenging preaching cross-culturally. You never know what will be lost in translation. But I feel like the Lord really gave me a word for Beza. And the Holy Spirit is the Great Translator!
We hop a red eye flight tonight and make the journey back across seven time zones. Praying for an empty flight!
