Spent most of today rafting the Urubamba River. It wasn’t too edgy, but there were a few Class III+ rapids. Good time hanging out with this group of guys! Tomorrow we hit the Inca Trail. It’ll be four days and three nights of high-altitude hiking. Grateful for porters to lighten the load because I get winded so easily at this altitude.
Here are a few random observations. I love the cobble stone streets. We have circles in DC, but I love the squares or plazas in other countries. Lots of perros running wild. One of the highlights has been seeing The Meeting Place the cafe ministry operated by Joel and Emily Malm. And you gotta love Spanish-style Cathedrals. Oh yeah, I also picked up a Peruvian hat with llamas on it.
