Had a great day off yesterday. I take Wednesdays off because our kids have a half-day of school. We went out and bought our Christmas tree. For the record, it’s a Douglas Fir. We actually picked the first tree we saw. Hard to explain how monumental and miraculous that is. We’ve spent hours looking at trees trying to find the perfect one.

We put the lights on the tree. And the ornaments are always a trip down memory lane! A little touch of nostalgia because our kids made many of them and we have a few with old pictures.

Tonight our family heads over to the ellipse. Got tickets, thanks to an NCCer, for the annual lighting of the National Christmas Tree.
