The Batterson boys went to see the Washington Nationals play on my day off. Sweet comeback win–first win of the season! Nothing like eating salted peanuts and cotton candy at the old ballgame! One of the greatest things about going to RFK stadium is that I have a Zone 6 parking permit because we live on Capitol Hill so I can park wherever I want. I usually find a spot within two blocks! Love it.

Every time I find a great parking spot it reminds me of the first Cubs game I drove to when I was in college. We got to the game late, but miraculously there was this amazing parking spot one block from the stadium. It was incredible. Too good to be true! Sure enough, the car was gone when I got back. You really have to read the fine print on those parking signs! Our car got towed and the impound only took cash! We literally begged for money outside a 7-11. Finally got the car and got home around 2 AM.

Isn’t it funny the way bad things can turn into good memories?
