I’m not a very “traditional” person per se. I live for new adventures. But I do value little traditions that add meaning and continuity to life. I think traditions are things that mark our lives. They are little things to look forward to.

One of our little traditions is that I make caramel rolls on special days like today. It was the first day of school so I made the rolls last night, let them rise overnight, and popped them in the oven this morning. I actually took them out of the oven and took them upstairs to wake up the kids with the aroma, but they were already awake. Bottom line? Caramel rolls definitely help get a new school year off to a good start.

I’m not sure I’m doing it justice, but little traditions make life so much more meaningful. For the record, a lot of my little traditions have to do with food.
