Parenting is the most difficult challenge on the planet if you really love your kids! And it is full of frustrations. Just keeping it real. But nothing can compare to the joyful moments involving your kids. I had one of those last night.

I’m honestly not sure what spurred this, but Josiah decided that he wanted to start reading through the Bible, which was absolutely thrilling. It’s like the book came alive to him. So at dinner last night he said he wanted to read something. My seven year-old launched into a passage on John the Baptist filled with words way beyond his vocabulary but he kept reading and reading and reading. The rest of us were just smiling as he plowed through that passage. Blessed me. Touched me.

If all else fails, I want my kids to grow up to love the word of God.
