Visited Jamestown Settlement on our trip. Man, it’ll make you appreciate some of the hardships endured by the first English settlers. For starters, their 6000 mile journey took 144 days. According to our tour guide, the #1 problem during the journey? Boredom. I imagine seasickness was a close second. The three ships were tiny by maritime standards.
