When my first book, In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day, released I worked like a dog. That’s what you do when you believe in what you’ve written. I also knew it was up to me to promote the book as a no-name author. And God blessed the book. It exceeded my expectations times ten!
I took the same approach with The Circle Maker. In the book, I write about one of our core values: work like it depends on you and pray like it depends on God. I’m trying to practice what I preach. When you combine work ethic and prayer ethic, miracles happen! At this point, I feel like I’ve done everything I can do. I worked hard writing it. I worked hard marketing it. And it’s a good feeling. I feel like the release day of a book is when the book is out of my hands and in God’s hands. I’ve done everything within my power. Now it’s up to God’s power. I wrote it for Him. It’s His. So I take a deep breath and trust that God is going to bless what I’ve circled with hard work and hard prayer for the past year.
