I can’t believe it, but I’m going to the Super Bowl on Sunday and Josiah is going with me. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Bryan Jarrett for making it happen. Super excited about speaking at Northplace Church on Sunday morning. Then I’ll check a life goal off my list and Josiah will receive the best birthday present he’ll ever get. Our seats our in the nose bleed section near the very top of the upper deck, but I think that might make it even more awe-inspiring for him. Plus they have that 50-yard HDTV.

We told Josiah last night because part of the gift is anticipation, but he didn’t believe it. His older brother, Parker, has been telling him he’s gullible, so when Parker told him about the tickets, Josiah thought it was a big brother trick! It actually took a few minutes to convince him!

One of my jobs as a parent is to create memories for my kids. And you certainly don’t have to go to a Super Bowl to do that. But this is going to be an amazing shared experience, especially if the Packers win. I think I’m as excited as Josiah.
