Yesterday, at the President’s Easter Prayer Breakfast, an old African-American preacher prayed before we went through the buffet table. It’s hard to describe, but there was such a familiarity with the Father that it was almost convicting. It’s like his words were deep-fried in faith. After he said amen, I turned to Andy Stanley and Louie Giglio, who were standing next to me, and said: “I feel like I’ve never prayed.” I was so challenged to get closer to God so that my words are His words and His words and my words.
