Just had the most amazing prayer time with our team. So often we quit praying through before we get the break through. Not today. I couldn’t put the amen on it. We got on our knees. Then I got on my face. I think the Lord is teaching us what it means to hang on to the horns of the altar. I’m not sure if it’s this way for others, but one way I know I’ve prayed through is that my spirit trembles. Not sure how else to say it. It’s a sobbing of sorts. And the intangible evidence is the peace of God that passes all understanding. Nothing like it. It’s so intangible it’s almost tangible!
One of our team members got a word for me that I’m hanging onto it with clenched fist: “You don’t have to prove yourself to God. He will prove himself to you.” We are way too concerned about our reputation. It’s not about our reputation. It’s about His reputation. Moses was never concerned about his reputation. He was always concerned about God’s reputation. If we’re walking in obedience it’s not our reputation that is on the line. It’s His.
We topped off our prayer time by singing the old spiritual “Amen” over and over again. I love the word “Amen.” It means “so be it.” It is a declaration of faith that God will deliver on His promises!
