Some of the greatest moments in life are those divine appointments when history meets destiny.  It’s like everything you’ve been begins to feed into everything you’re destined to do.  One of those moments for me was writing my first book. I’d read several thousand books leading up to writing my first book and it felt like thousands of streams feeding into the river of writing.

I’m feeling the confluence again with the prospect of opening a movie theater.  I look back at my history and one of my first memories was a movie.  I put my faith in Christ after watching The Hiding Place.  Coincidence?  I think not.  We have a vision of meeting in movie theaters at metro stops throughout the DC area.  Coincidence?  I think not. We’re theaterchurch.com.  Coincidence?  I think not.  I’ve always called movie theater screens postmodern stained glass. Coincidence?  I think not.

There is another name for history meeting destiny: the Sovereignty of God.
