Gut it Out

I would describe the editing stage of writing as gutting it out. And this might sound strange, but I think it glorifies God. A book is more than a book. For me, it’s an act of obedience. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears along the way!

I’ve been pushed to my physical and spiritual limits while writing this book. Lots of late nights and early mornings. I’ve actually had flashbacks to my athletic days. It feels like two-a-days. I remember coaches pushing me past my perceived limits. That’s how I’ve felt during this process. At times I’ve had this thought: I can’t do this. But I think back to all the challenges I’ve faced in the past. In some strange twist, being pushed as an athlete is helping me write this book!

I don’t know what challenges you face. But here’s my advice: keep gutting it out. Gutting it out glorifies God.
