Every family has stories that are told and retold. They become family narratives. One of the stories I heard was the way my grandfather and his brothers and cousins and uncles would sit around the family table and talk about the Bible for hours on end. They loved the Bible. They loved Bible prophecy. And it’s evidenced by my grandfather’s Bible that sits in a special place in my office. It’s the most well-used Bible I’ve ever seen. There is underlining and scribbling on virtually every page. And the pages are literally taped together. You can tell which books were his favorite by which books have the most tape!

My grandfather built his life on the Bible. He bowed to its authority. He stood on its promises. What a legacy!

A well-lived life is the byproduct of a well-used Bible!
