Got a Coach?

Over the next week I want to do a series of blogs on mentoring.

One of the most memorable and pivotal experiences of my ministry was going through the school of pastoral nurture with Jack Hayford about seven years ago. We hung out with Jack. Ate dinner at his house. It was high-octane Jack Hayford. I think I took more away from that mentoring experience than a decade of conferences combined. Mentoring takes leadership development to another level because it’s relational not just informational.

Because that experience was so pivotal in my life, I’ve always wanted to do something like that. I certainly love spending a little time with a lot of leaders speaking at conferences, but I’ve always wanted to spend a lot of time with a few leaders. Long story short, I’m going to. Here’s the skinny.

The Partners in Church Consulting asked if I’d consider joining their coaches network. I felt like it was the right network at the right time. So here’s the scoop. I’ll mentor 12 leaders over 6 months. There is a price tag. And it’s first come first serve. I’m already praying and believing that God has his hand on the twelve leaders he wants me to pour my life into. I really believe it’s going to be an incredibly synergistic and catalytic experience.

Check it out.
