I recently wrote the foreword to Brennan Manning’s new book, the furious longing of God. Just got my signed copy in the mail. Honestly, it was a humbling experience writing the foreword for an author who is far better than you. Brennan writes with a raw poetic style. His words capture the subliminal fears and hopes and desires we have a difficult time verbalizing.

Here’s one thought that was so simple yet so profound. I think many of us don’t really believe this, but if we did it would change the way we see God and see ourselves. Are you ready? Meditate on this. Let it lift your spirit.

“The Father not only loves you, he likes you.”

In my experience, most of us believe that God loves us. But we aren’t so sure He likes us. Listen, He loves you and likes you enough to spend eternity with you.
