We’re beginning a forty-day FREEDOM FAST on July 14th.  Love to invite you to be part of it.  We’ll kick it off with an all-night prayer meeting from 7:14 PM to 7:14 AM on 7.14.  We’ve been circling II Chronicles 7:14 all year.  And we’re not done!  We’re going to keep circling and 714 is going to keep evolving.

I want to focus on one phrase in that promise: turn from your wicked ways.

The Freedom Fast is all about waging war on the sin nature and dethroning sinful habits. The ultimate goal is to make sure that you are only mastered by the Holy Spirit. I’d encourage you to give up whatever is compulsive or addictive in your life.  It might be a habitual sin.  It might not be.  It might just be something that is distracting or wasteful. Give it up cold turkey.  You’ve got to starve the sinful nature to death.  It’s the only way.  I think a forty-day fast can prove to God, prove to yourself, and prove to the enemy that you are more than a conqueror through Christ. Will be easy?  Absolutely not.  In fact, you’ll need the Holy Spirit more than ever before but that’s the point. The victory was won 2000 years ago. You just need to fight the battle!
