Got a really cool introduction yesterday at the Northwest Ministry Network. The MC introduced me by reading all the twitter comments made with @markbatterson in them. A few of my favorites?
Ready to be goosed…
@markbatterson just said “hell” at annual conference
It’s fun to see all the younger pastors textually active while @markbatterson speaks
Hilarious! Thanks for the laughs!
So on my plane ride I listened to a TED lecture. They are becoming part of my mental diet. Listened to Evan Williams, the founder of Twitter. Twitter was actually a side project. Gotta love that. And initially it was meant as nothing more than a way to share moments of your life. But it has become so much more than that. Evan shared about a few of the evolutions and adaptations. They include everything from the location of a burrito truck in LA to a dialogue tool at conferences to real-time reporting.
Here was my takeaway from his lecture. Evan Williams said, “Follow the hunch, but never assume you know where it is going to go!” Love that motto: follow the hunch!
By the way, for a Christ follower those hunches come from the Holy Spirit. Nothing like a Holy Spirit hunch!
