I get this question from prospective authors all the time: how do I find an agent? And I feel bad because I don’t have a good answer. My path was very non-traditional. I met my first agent through a friend. It was a coincidence that turned into a providence. And I met my current agent while I was in Germany a few years ago. That’s as random as it gets.

So here’s the question: how do you find an agent?
