It was cold. No question about it. But our volunteers were amazing and the eggstravaganza was a huge success. Didn’t seem like the cold weather kept too many people away! We didn’t have as many folks as years past, but I’m sure we blessed at least a thousand people. Props to our volunteer team led by Pastor Joel and Nina Schmidgall.
On a personal note…
Josiah ran out to get eggs last year and freaked out. He got scared and ran right back! No fear this year! He filled his bucket to the brim! And like any good parent, I ate some of his candy because I wouldn’t want him to get a stomach ache! That’s just the kind of dad I am. I also did lots of candy sampling in the weeks leading up to the event. Just wanted to make sure the candy was ok for the kids!
