Two years ago today, March 15, 2006, we opened Ebenezers Coffeehouse. What a wild ride! The word “Ebenezer” is taken from I Samuel 7:12 where Samuel builds an altar to God and calls it Ebenezer. It means hitherto the Lord has helped us. Or my personal translation: so far so God.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank God for his blessing on our coffeehouse. And I’m hoping we open a second coffeehouse this coming year! We’ve got to keep praying ridiculous prayers! I’d love to see an Ebenezers in the heart of Georgetown or Old Town, Alexandria.
