Dream Whiplash

We’ve spent the last 48 hours with architects designing our campus on Capitol Hill. And it’s uber-exciting. But there have been a few moments where I feel like dreams are running into reality head on at about 65 mph. Think of it as dream whiplash. I honestly think every dream goes through that process. And the question is this: can the dream survive the crash?

It may sound like I’m out of touch with reality, but I believe that dreams are more real than reality if they are conceived by God. One of two things will happen when your dreams run into reality: either your dreams will conform to reality or reality will conform to your dreams. And I believe we have a choice. You can choose reality or you can choose the dream. And if you choose the dream, reality might just conform to it. If you don’t, you’ll never know!
