Nearly two years ago we hosted a Convoy of Hope in Washington, DC where we fed 10,000 people and held an outreach complete with games for kids and a variety of human need services for adults.  It was amazing outreach, but the Lord really impressed on us that we needed to be doing it everyday!

Since that day we’ve dreamed of opening a Dream Center in SE DC.  We’ve prayed like it depends on God. We’ve worked liked it depends on us.  And I think we’re getting very close.  We can see it, feel it, taste it.  We’re trusting that God will show us the right place at the right time, but it does feel like we’ve been circling the plane forever!

Tomorrow I head to a compassion coalition meeting in Saint Louis with our Executive Pastor, Joel Schmidgall.  Excited about connect with leaders in the compassion movement. Compassion is the best apologetic.  You can’t argue with it when it’s done in the spirit of Christ.
