I just finished reading through Leviticus and I’m headed into Hebrews in my one-year Bible. Thought I’d share one of my favorite verses.

Leviticus 11:20 says: “All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you.” Other translations say, “Do not eat them.” No problem! This may rank as the easiest verse in the Bible for me to obey! Finally, a commandment I’ve never broken. Not even an ounce of temptation! Yes, I’ve accidentally inhaled a few bugs, but I cough religiously.

If you’re feeling like a spiritual failure today, I hope that offers a little encouragement in a very strange sort of way.
