Don’t Burn Bridges

I’m going to blog lots of lessons we’re learning as we transition from Union Station to what’s next. Leadership is not learned in a classroom. Leadership is learned when you are thrust into a situation you didn’t anticipate and have no idea how to handle it. Those are the moments that make you or break you. You’re between an Egyptian Army and a Red Sea. What are you going to do?

The last thing we did at Union Station was take an offering for the thirty theater employees who lost their jobs with no notice. It’s the right thing to do. We wanted to go out the way we came in! We’re going to be a blessing no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in.

I’ve learned that how you exit a situation says so much more about your character than how you enter. You need to exit with no regrets. This is so critical: don’t burn bridges because you might need to recross them. For the record, I don’t think the door at Union Station is permanently closed.

Never put a period where God puts a comma!
