Donald and Rick had a conversation with some pretty profound insights.

“We’re lighthouses in the light.”

What an image. We’re called to invade darkness! We protect the gospel instead of proclaiming it. And if you simply protect the gospel you lose your voice.

The culture feels like we don’t like them. And by transference, they feel like God doesn’t like them. We’ve got to change the perception!

One last thought.

Legalism is a cop out. It takes discernment out of the equation. We don’t trust people so we get all legalistic! Where is the discernment in the church? Maybe we need to rely on the Holy Spirit to help us navigate the narrow straights of morality?

Less legalism. More discernment.
