Headed out to Dewey Beach today. Really excited about going after a life goal–running a triathlon with one of my kids. It also fulfills the physical challenge part of the discipleship covenant Parker and I agreed upon nearly a year ago. I think the real value has been training together for a common goal. But it’ll be pretty sweet crossing the finish line together. So much more meaningful than crossing the finish line by myself last year. That is why most of my life goals involve other people, especially family. Shared experiences.

Would appreciate a prayer for my strained calf. Grateful that we have a sports trainer at NCC who hooked me up with an electrical stimulus unit that has been speeding the healing process. Definitely gotten some funny looks this week with wires and pads attached to my calf.

Gonna hit Grotto Pizza for a little pre-race meal tonight.
