The best way to describe our Play and Pray retreat is a collective deep breath. There is something about the setting at Osprey Point that makes it the perfect place to gear shift down. The water is calming. The lodge is relaxing. The grounds are inspiring.
We’ve had a ton of fun–playing spades and Settlers of Catan. Long conversations. Lots of Wiffle Ball and Volleyball. Pool time. We love playing, but the highlight is always praying. Amazing time of worship on Tuesday night.
We’re praying for nothing less than revival. Somehow. Sometime. I don’t want it to happen too quickly or too easily for fear that we’d take it for granted. I still think we have some more prayer plowing to do, but I believe the day will come when God moves in unusual and unmistakable ways in our nation’s capital.
