Craziest Dancer

So last night we were at a pool party for the Cheverly Swim Team. And this is going to sound way overstated. But they had a little dance contest and Josiah is somewhat shy. But he got out there and won the craziest dancer award. It’s not exactly an Oscar or a Grammy, but little things are big things when you’re little. He was pretty proud.

One of the defining moments of my life was winning a race in the second grade during Field Day. It’s a vague memory. And I honestly don’t remember what the competition was like. But I remember winning. Little things like that can be confidence boosters.

I think there are moments in life when our confidence is fragile and an encouraging or discouraging word one way or the other can make a huge difference! A small win can give us just enough courage to keep trying and lead to bigger and better things. A small failure can cause us to call it quits.
