When I graduated from college my gift was a set of commentaries by Charles Spurgeon. I just sold them on Ebay. Actually, Pastor Dave helped sell them for me. I sort of feel bad selling them, but I have all the commentaries on my computer. It just didn’t make sense to have an entire bookshelf when I can search the commentaries on my computer. I don’t know what I’d do without my computer. It is such a luxury. My father-in-law wrote out all of his messages longhand and scratched them onto 8 1/2 by 11 pieces of paper. I’m the beneficiary of the digital revolution. I can search for one word in nine years of messages and find it. My computer literally allows me to find a needle in a haystack. By the way, someone paid more than $300 for the commentaries. My graduation gift keeps on giving!
