I’m sitting in on Craig Groeschel‘s lab at Catalyst.
Craig has been a huge personal encouragement to me. He’s one of the most visionary yet down-to-earth leaders I know. Craig is a fellow-Multnomah author. Check out his books: Chazown and Confessions of a Pastor.
Here are some notes.
Everybody ends up somehwere.
Few people end up somewhere on purpose.
Craiq shared four chazown markers. We will encounter these four things along the vision path.
#1 Spirit’s Prompting
I love the image Craiq shared. He shook up a can of coke. That is what God wants to do to us. That’s what it means to be “compelled by the spirit“–Acts 20:22
#2 Certain Uncertainty
When you step out in faith there is usually, in Craig’s words, an “o crap” moment. That is so true
#3 Predictable Resistance
I love this thought Craig shared about one of his ministry “failures.” His student group grew backwards and someone said to him: if you blame yourself for the decline you’ll be tempted to take credit for the incline !
#4 Uncommon Clarity
