I love conferences like Catalyst not just for the content but the chance to connect with people. I’m realizing more and more that relationships make the world go around.
I’ve written a couple articles for Relevant Leader. I finally met the editor, Tyler Clark. It’s sort of wierd meeting someone you’ve only interacted with via email
He’s going to be the next managing editor of Relevant Magazine. Pretty cool stuff. Great guy!
I bumped into Lanny Donoho, one of the Catalyst MCs. He entered the evotional blogosphere a few weeks ago when I posted a comment on his book, God’s Blog. That dude is funny personified. Don’t get me started on a sanctified sense of humor
Lanny definitely has one!
I had a chance to say “hi” to Margaret Feinberg, author of twentysomething. She was a huge encouragement to me when I wrote ID: The True You. I highly recommend her book for twenty-somethings! It’s good to go!
I even got a chance to say hi to Erwin McManus and thank him for one of my “embarrassing moments.” I had to jog his memory, but I told him that I was the guy who did the chaos dance a few years ago. I could tell by the pained look on his face that the dance made a lasting impression on him
If you’d like a similar pained expression on your face you can check out the Chaos Dance vlog from a few weeks ago
