A few thoughts from the first session with Andy Stanley.

“Arrogance can’t see itself in the mirror.”

The thought that really put my leadership in perspective was the simple reminder that all leadership is temporary! Leadership is stewardship. Sounds so simple, but I needed to be reminded that our leadership is on loan!

We fall into the trap of thinking that if I don’t it won’t. We feel like the future depends on us. What a liberating reminder: God is sovereign.

One more thing. Christian leaders ought to reek with humility!
