I love creating new words, new acronyms.  You know the acronym: ASAP. It means “as soon as possible.”  While I was writing The Circle Maker I realized that I was automatically attaching an ASAP to all of my prayers.  Zero patience.

The biggest transformation in my personal prayer life has been to a totally different mindset: ALAT.  What does it mean?  As long as it takes.  Like Honi, who said he wouldn’t leave the circle until God sent rain, it involves raw determination. Zero quit.

I’m believing God for revival in Washington, DC.  But I’m not praying for it ASAP.  I’m praying for it ALAT.  I’m going to keep circling and trust God’s timing!  In fact, I want it to take long enough so we know for sure it was an answer to prayer!
