Had an amazing weekend at Woodlands Church. I spoke at their I2 conference a few years ago so there was already a connection point. Plus the staff and quite a few people in the church had already read In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day. So I really felt at home.
A few reflections.
I never cease to be amazed at the way a church reflects a pastor and staff. It’s uncanny. Really impressed with the hospitality. Especially in light of how huge the church is.
While signing books I met a girl from China who spoke broken English. It was her first time ever in a church. She said she’d never forget it. Felt like an international divine appointment.
My last reflection is this. When I got to Woodlands Church I couldn’t believe how many cars were in the turn lane. And I had this thought: how cool that a church is causing a traffic jam. We need a few more traffic jam churches.
