I love seeing people pursue their God-ordained passions. And I think that is the dominant DNA in both In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day and Wild Goose Chase. Every week I get emails and letters from readers sharing their story. What I love about them is the incredible diversity. Here are a few of the most recent.
Got a letter from Ebo Elder who is reading Wild Goose Chase. I immediately recognized his face from the ESPN reality show, The Contender. Actually watched one of his bouts last night. One of the most amazing fights I’ve ever seen. He won by knockout in 12th round. He just hung up his gloves and is pursuing full-time ministry.
Got another email from a rapper named Transparent. There is a song on his next album called Lion Chaser. Sweet sound and lyrics. I’ll post a link once it’s live.
Finally, just got an email from a Chris Marshall, a pastor in Western PA. The dream of writing a book lay dormant for a decade, but he just self-publishing his first book.
There you have it. A boxer. A rapper. And a writer. One thing in common: the pursuit of God-ordained passions.
It’s never too late. It’s never too big. It’s never too crazy.
